I am leaning towards studying abroad in Spain, but I'm afraid of missing out on all the Mexican spanish slang spoken in most of the U.S. Has anyone visited spanish speaking countries or was born in them that I can get some insight from? Whichever location I choose I will spending loads of time there learning to be fluent.
Where should I study abroad to learn spanish?
Any Spanish-speaking country will do. Picking up on slang is the least of your worries. Learn to speak the language fluently and the rest will follow.
Reply:There are institutions and organisations that can help you, this is a good place in Costa Rica, Costa Rica have a neutral Spanish, go to www.crhomestay.com. Report Abuse
Reply:Learning Spanish in Spain is like learning English in England, would be the best way to know the language in right matter. Don't be worry for the Mexican Spanish slang, it will come back sometimes.
