I am looking to travel and live in San Jose, Costa Rica. I am curious what price (for instruction alone, I have accommodations) in USD people may have paid to study Spanish abroad in this country or others?
How much does it cost to study spanish abroad for 6 weeks to 3 months?
There are a ton of Spanish schools in San Jose, I think you just have to check their individual fees. Here are some listings:

Buena suerte!
Reply:Good question! I just did a basic search in Google and a company called Language Trainers shows that per hour, one-on-one instruction in San Jose is $60 but group lessons of up to 9 students could be as cheap as $10 per hour per student.
Looks like you have accomodation so that will save money.
Here's a great site with ideas and guidelines on learning another language in the country where they speak it:

aswell as ideas on immersing yourself when abroad or not...

You could also opt to take a structured course but they can be really expensive (in the triple/quadruple digits).
All the best!
Reply:I've never done it and I bet it would be really fun. I'm using Visual Link Spanish and it's really awesome.
