I'm a sophomore engineering major and I plan on studying abroad first semester of my junior year. I've focused my choices down to these two regions. If I studied abroad in the UK I'd be going to the University of Manchester and if I went to the Australia I'd have a range of options.
In terms of tourist attractions, people, food, cost, and other variables which one is arguably better?
Should I study abroad in the UK or in Australia?
I've never been to the UK but I'm from Australia. if you're looking for good weather, nice beaches, laid back atmosphere come to australia. If you want tourist attractions go to sydney, but there is a good range of engineering courses in perth at uwa, university of western australia (from what i've heard from friends studying there)
Reply:australia sounds cool
but than again uk does have amsterdam and london.
europe
i dont know both be cool.
Reply:Sorry, if UK feelings are hurt, but Australia by a long shot.
Reply:Depends what you are after.... UK is definately going to be far more expensive. Being from the UK myself I would have to say go to Australia but make sure you go somewhere really cool like Sydney. I think Australia has better weather than the UK (I'm all about the weather that's why I live in Cali)... but the UK does have some really cool people and the rest of Europe is so close and easy to visit. If you are planning on working there too, then you are going to earn more in the UK.
