I want to study abroad in italy but I'm not enrolled in a college or university.
Are there any study abroad programs that cater to those who are not enrolled in school?
You could enroll directly (or semi-directly) into a university or institute in Italy.
Search "Study Abroad Programs". Some of those programs should have something that can work for you.
The answer is: I'm pretty sure, yes.
Reply:Well, if you are not enrolled at an instituition, I assume you mean you want to travel and stay abroad as a college-aged person, without actually studying. Is that correct? If that is the case, there are many work and volunteer abroad programs avaliable to you. You can choose to do volunteer work, work for a short term in the hospitality industry (hotel/hostel work, etc.), do an au pair where you would stay with a family abroad and care for children/houswork in exchange for room and board and a small additional stipend, intern abroad, or even teach english abroad, though this is more difficult to get and I believe you need certain certification. There are also other options available to you, a great deal of which can be found on the transitions abroad website. Transitions abroad lists companies and organizations who facilitate opportunities abroad for those who seek work abroad with those who can provide it. I would begin by doing some research there, and perhaps check out your local library or bookstore for books and guides about travel, work, and study abroad. They can be great sources for information, as they are written by people who have done and have gained experience-based knowledge in what you desire to do. Good luck!
