Study Abroad?

Well I am pretty sure I am going to be studying abroad in Japan in the next year or two. I have always wanted to visit Japan, I am going to start taking Japanese courses and hope to better my understanding of the language by living there. I believe the University I will be staying at is Kanda University.. does anyone know anything about this university? What is it like? Are there mainly international students studying there or Japanese students also?

Study Abroad?
Actually, all I wanted to say is that I'm jealous you're going to study abroad to a very different country from the US, and it's a time you will never forget.

I am doing almost the same thing as you. I will be taking Chinese 101 this fall semester and 102 the following spring semester at UW-Madison, and I plan to study abroad in China next year in May/June at Beijing University (i think that's the name). so have fun!
Reply:Probably this.

I am sorry to tell you this, but this is young University and was local language school before

Probably most Japanese, including Tokyo ppl, don't know this University. And the location of this Univ is not in Tokyo. Most Japanese ppl remember the former name "Kanda language school".

Decent University hold a class in Japanese basically.

I think following Univs hold a class in Englsih. Temple Univresity Japan campas, Sofia Univ, and ICU(International Christian University).
Reply:Yay I'm going abroad to Japan in a year or two also!

I know that most lectures are conducted in English, and the requirements to work there are to be fluent in English, so you won't have any problems.

Sophia is famous, high rank university, private and with great facilities. I know a professor working there, she has PhD in literature, and she is very young , bright lady.

Japanese are little bit reserved to anything connected with Christian religion, but besides that, the university is considered a top class one. You're really lucky!!
Reply:i recommend sphia univ. too.
