Where can I find Grant/Scholarship Money to Study Abroad?

I have wanted to go to Spain for years and study Spanish since it is my minor.

Almost all of the programs I have looked at say I need to be accepted into a study abroad programs BEFORE I can apply for grants/scholarships. But 100% of these programs require deposits of $300-$1,500 before you can register.

My question is this; Does anyone know a legitimate funding program for college students to study abroad, that awards you pre-acceptance?

Thanks!

You should contact the study abroad office at your college and see if they offer any type of financial aid to current students. I'm assuming you are a college student since you mentioned that Spanish is your minor. Also, take a look at this directory with scholarships and financial aid help:

Reply:regular financial aid helps with this too!!!!!
Reply:go to fastweb.com, they have loads of scholarship info. Also, contact the program you are interested in studying through. They/or your present school should be able to give you loans. The deposits are almost always universally that much money. Mine was only $200 though, after that- my loans kicked in.
