Studying abroad, is it ok to study in scandinavia?

I'm from usa. I have done my bachelors from usa however i'm planning to do masters at any university which is located in scandinavia such as denmark, norway or sweden. I just want to have a change of place for a while. I have checked their masters program and they seem good bt i'm still confused. I mean if i do my masters from denmark or sweden, is it goin gto be accepted in usa later on? would you people suggest me to study in scandinavia? people do go abroad for studies so i guess its not a bad idea but i still want comments on it. I have already applied for the admission but before i finalize anything, i need to be sure. people pplz help with all the details you know, thanks

I'm not sure about US qualifications recognition but one thing you have to be sure of before moving to any Scandinavian country is that you have a very sound financial base.

Scandinavian countries are very, very expensive.
Reply:yeah it should most companies will take people who have gotten their degrees in europe and asia than most other places the only down side is that it snows there most of the time my friend studied abroad last year in sweden and she loved it even though she was from south-east texas and has never seen snow before and froze her butt off in summer
Reply:Go for it! We live in a globalized society where a good education and a good work ethic are valued, regardless of where one is from. I live near the world headquarters of a MAJOR corporation. They want goos scientists from what-ever background--even the CEO is not American. Exposure to other cultures is an asset.
Reply:Most West-European universities are good, and differences in quality are not vast because education overall tends to be standardized within each country. Generally, large cities have better universities, and even though there are some exceptions, going to Oslo, Kobenhaven or other major cities won't be a mistake. Most US programs recognize most WE degrees, but notice "most" in both parts - if you already know where you want to return, check with them beforehand. Furthermore, different agencies do their transcripts differently, so even if your degree is accidentally not recognized with one agency, you just look up another one. In some domains it is obviously a little harder - law, medicine, perhaps economy; in others, it's easy. Ergo: depending on the field of your studies, you probably won't have any problems with having your Scandinavian M.A/M.S. recognized here.
