Bright futures scholarship and study abroad?

is it true that bright futures covers a non-summer semester to study abroad? a friend told me it does and i'd be interested in finding out if it's true.

Bright futures scholarship and study abroad?
huh???
Reply:It might depend on the program. It covered my tuition when I studied abroad. How things worked out with my uni were that I enrolled in courses both at my home school and at the school in Morocco I studied at. i paid tuition to the Florida university (which was covered by bright futures). The Moroccan university then sent my grades back to my home institution. I am certain that your uni would be able and willing to work out some similar arrangement. Just speak to the study abroad office.

Reply:At most universities, when you study abroad you enroll in some sort of a dummy course, so you're still officially enrolled at your home university even though you're actually somewhere else. If your uni does this, then it's very safe to say that you'll still get your scholarship - as far as they're concerned you're still studying at your uni. Check with your school though - study abroad offices usually know the answer to this one.
