Is there a program like study abroad except you dont leave the country?





Kinda like say i live in MI and want to go to TX (dont want to) but is there a program like that





like study abroad u live with another family go to school in that families state

Abroad by definition is out of the country so no there is are no study abroad programs where you don't leave the country.

Reply:Lots of colleges and universities offer summer programs for transient students(students who attend another university and wish to stay at that school but would like to take a class or two at a different school). I took a summer class as a transietn student at home which is about 200 miles from my school. I've never heard of programs where you stay with another family, but I know these programs usually offer summer housing options in the dorms. If you plan on doing something like this, make sure you decide early because you usually have to apply and be admitted, send transcripts, file forms with both schools, pay tuition, get another student ID, parking pass, etc. Good luck!
Reply:you could try hosting a foreign exchange student in your own family; then you do not have to travel but you get to know someone from a different culture
